Abstract

The beginning of the Constitutional Revolution was at the same time as the domination of Naser al-Din Shah Qajar. The role of poetry and literature in this great transformation is undeniable. With the transformation of theoretical perspectives and ways of thinking in the country, the issues related to literature also changed in general, and Persian literature served this political-cultural movement and began one of its most active periods in the history of Persian literature. Writers, poets and intellectuals prepared the ground for a public uprising by raising new issues in literature; And for this reason, they should be considered as the intellectual founders of the Constitutional Revolution. They sought to erase the feeling of inferiority that had arisen due to tyranny and to eliminate the old political and social ideas of the past. Among these people, poets, writers, playwrights and journalists such as Mirza Malkam Khan, Talebov, Zain al-Abidin Maraghei and Mirza Habib Esfahani should be mentioned as literary Constitutionalists. Because their role in achieving Constitutionalism is undeniable.
