Commentary on the journey of Captain Atras to the North Pole with new historicism approach

Commentary on the journey of Captain Atras to the North Pole in 1860 is a translation of the first part of Jules Verne's novel ,Les Aventures du Capitaine Hatteras [1864], by Muhammad Hassan Khan Sani al-Dawlah (Etemad al-Saltanah) which has been printed in footnote from 11 Muharram 1288 AH in the first issue of "Iran Newspaper" to the 1032nd issue. Since the Iranian newspaper was the official organ of the Iranian government at the time, the paper seeks to clarify the power relationships in the context of this literary work and show the feedback of its publication in the non-linguistic context of the institution of power and the Iranian newspaper. This is why the authors take a new historicist approach to indicate how the novel year fits into the dominant discourse of its time, and by what means transcends the text to reveal hidden layers of power.
