On the 7th of Thor 1357, a Marxist and communist coup took place in Afghanistan, which was the source of all the political, social, economic, cultural, etc. developments in Afghanistan in the last three decades. After the coup and the entry of the Red Army of the Soviet Union into their country, the people of Afghanistan started a widespread campaign and comprehensive resistance against the illegal government and the Russian invaders. The association of poets and writers with this social-political movement led to the release of Afghan poetry from the impasse of content and the formation of the Poetry of Resistance in support of popular resistance against the Russians. The movement of the Poetry of Resistance, which is considered to be the only movement of poetry in the last three decades of Afghanistan, made the poets to use the cultural support of their nation and homeland to enrich the form and content of the Poetry of Resistance and deepen its impact on the audience. In the meantime, the use of religious, historical, geographical and mythological elements in the Poetry of Resistance has become more popular.
