Kalile and Demne is one of the most important and prominent prose of Dari literature that Nasrallah Munshi translated from Arabic to Persian in the first half of the sixth century. The original of the book was Sanskrit Hindu language. A physician named Borzuya translated it to Pahlavi in the days of Anushirvan Sassanids, and three centuries later, 'Abd Allah b. Muqaffa translated it into Arabic. The verses and hadiths used in the book show translator’s awareness of revelatory sources. As far as the authors of the article know there has been no research about the sources of the hadiths in particular. So in this paper, the hadiths of Kalila and Demna in Islamic sources have been analyzed and scrutinized.
