Nizami’s Haft Peykar is one of the attractive texts of Persian classical literature. This work has many story and dramatic elements, one of which is its attractive characterization. In this text, the characterization is in a dramatic way and is close to many modern novels, because in it, in addition to directly referring to the external characteristics of the characters and their behavior, the different dimensions of their personality with a logical and calculated connection has been exhibited for the audience, and like many great theatrical works, understandable, believable and visual characters are drawn for the audience. In this work, the poet tries to introduce the characters themselves to the audience by showing their different actions and behavior and their relationship with other characters and their stances on different issues, and with this method, Nizami succeeds in creating dramatic characters in this work.
