In this essay, we have presented an Archetypal reading of Maral's description of Maral’s bathe in the novel Kelidar by Mahmoud Dolatabadi. Due to the similarity of this description with Shirin’s bathing in Khosrow and Shirin by Nizami, based on the distinction between archetypes and archetypal ideas in Jung's theory, the repetition of these ideas or representations in older and classical Persian texts such as Avesta, Shahnameh, Homay and Homayoun and also in the culture and history of Iranian beliefs are investigated.. The conclusion is that, all these repetitions in describing the beloved and the companion of water and woman/beloved are the representation of Anahita’s ideas and especially the idea of fairy, which can also be influenced by the era of goddesses in the Iranian plateau before the arrival of the Aryans. This essay also proves the continuity of the relationship between Iranian literary texts from the earliest to the most recent ones on a cultural context.
