عنوان مقاله [English]
The Indian subcontinent was the breeding ground of Persian poets during the reign of the Timurid dynasty. A group of poets went to that country from Iran at that time and stayed there and died. The fame of some is widespread, but there are also groups that are less known. Toghra Mashhadhi is one of these eloquent poets who unfortunately has remained almost unknown. He is one of the talented poets of the Indian style in the 11th century of Hijri, who went to India during the reign of Shah Jahan (1037 AH - 1068 AH) and was in the service of Prince Murad Bakhsh. He spent his late life in Kashmir and died and was buried there. He is a master in poetry and prose and has used many Indian words in his works. Toghra is a great poet, but despite all his ambition, he has not reached the fame he deserves. In this article, we introduce him and his works (especially his ghazals).
