Based on the approaches of modern historiography and the narrative context of historical narratives, some stories also contain historical contexts that are useful to study alongside historical sources. The myth of Bustan-e-Khayal is a folk tale based on the history of the Fatimid caliphs of Egypt and the Ismaili Shiites, which begins based on historical events that took place during. The author has brought these historical figures into the realm of myth, attributing imaginary stories to them. This article follows the presence of the Ismaili religion and the Fatimid caliphs in this story and critiques it based on historical sources and narratives in a descriptive-analytical manner. The findings of this study and their critique indicate the empirical confirmation of some of the author's narrations Based on the historical and doctrinal sources of this political and religious sect, but in some cases, there were differences. The extraordinary face that the author presents of some of the Fatimid caliphs was very close to the aspect of the sanctity and divinity of these caliphs, which has been confirmed by the testimony of historical narrators قصه‌ها و داستان‌ها به عنوان یکی از بخش‌های مهم فرهنگ عامه رابطی بین مردم اکنون با گذشته‌اند که مبانی فرهنگی و اعتقادی را از نسلی به نسل دیگر منتقل می‌کنند. بر مبنای رویکردهای تاریخ‌گرایی نو و بافت روایی و داستانی متون تاریخی، برخی از داستان‌ها نیز حاوی بافت تاریخی‌اند که بررسی آنها در کنار منابع تاریخی سودمند است. افسانۀ بوستان خیال از قصه‌های عامیانه‌ای است که بنای آن بر تاریخ خلفای فاطمی مصر و شیعیان اسماعیلی است که بر اساس حوادث تاریخی رخ‌داده در زمان چهار خلیفۀ نخست فاطمی در مصر، آغاز می‌شود. مؤلّف این شخصیت‌های تاریخی را به عرصۀ افسانه آورده، داستان‌های موهوم به آنها نسبت داده است. این جستار چگونگی حضور مذهب اسماعیلیه و خلفای فاطمی را در این داستان دنبال می‌کند و به نقد و بررسی آن براساس منابع و روایت‌های تاریخی به شیوۀ توصیفی-تحلیلی می‌پردازد. یافته‌های این پژوهش و نقد آنها بیانگر صحت برخی از روایت‌های نویسنده بر اساس منابع تاریخی و اعتقادی این فرقۀ مذهبی-سیاسی است، اما در مواردی تفاوت‌هایی نیز وجود دارد. چهرۀ خار‌ق‌العاده‌ای که نویسنده از برخی از خلفای فاطمی ارائه داده است بسیار به جنبۀ تقدس و الوهیت این خلفا نزد راویان معتقد به این مذهب نزدیک است. https://hlit.sbu.ac.ir/article_101803_3ed6895f80247793441e5e4d9626e086.pdf
