Abstract

Literature, as one of the main indicators of the culture and civilization of any nation, can be a mirror of the society and history of its time. The literature of the Timurid period has also easily been able to draw many social, cultural and political signs of its time that are less expressed in history. The tyranny of the feudal lords towards the lower classes of the society, the spread of the wrong economic and agricultural system, and injustice had made the people of the Timurid era fed up. Taxes were heavy and people's properties were looted by government officials. The autocracy of the rulers, successive wars and the enslavement of farmers and villagers by the masters had spread poverty and insecurity in the society. Robbery and banditry on the roads had become common even by government officials. Studying the literature of the Timurid period introduces us to many hidden corners of the society of that time.
